EUI student wins Gold and Bronze medals in the Arab Fencing Championship

Jana Medhat El-Bakry, EUI's first-year student at the Faculty of Computing and Information Sciences, won the team's gold medal at the Arab Fencing Championship in Bahrain. She also won the bronze
medal for the Individual Competition in the same tournament held from 16 to 19 January.

Prof. Hoda Mokhtar, the Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Information Sciences of Egypt Informatics University, congratulated Jana for winning this important tournament and winning the gold medal in the team's competition and the individual bronze medal at the Arab tournament hosted by Bahrain. Jana made a new achievement added to the achievements of the university's students in all the domestic and international competitions in which they participate.


Prof. Reem Bahgat, President of Egypt University of Informatics, emphasized the university's continued support for top athletic students to maintain and continue winning tournaments because EUI believes
in the importance of sports in human life in general and for students in particular. This strategy is supported and reinforced by H.E.Dr Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology.

Prof. Reem Bahgat noted that the university establishes the principles and values of sports and athletic excellence in all its students while giving due care to their scientific and academic excellence. These
principles highlight the true spirit of the Egyptian University of Informatics community.

The President of Egypt University of Informatics added: "We always strive for tremendous success and achievement of tournaments while creating a positive atmosphere of competition between students,
whether in the scientific, practical, research or athletic fields. This eventually motivates them to strive to provide their best and constantly develop it.

It is noteworthy that Egypt University of Informatics is the first specialized university in the Middle East and Africa in communications and information technology and their affected fields. It is located in
Knowledge City in the New Administrative Capital.

Egypt University of Informatics includes four faculties: (Computing and Information Sciences, Engineering, Business Informatics, Digital Arts, and Design) offering 16 specialized educational programs to meet the labour market needs of specialists in the latest information and communication technology fields, such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Business Analytics, Digital Marketing, Animation Arts,
User Experience, and Game Design.
