EUI welcomes H.E. Yemeni Minister of Communications to Discuss Technical Cooperation and Facilitate the Yemeni students’ admission

 

Egypt University of Informatics, with its premises in the Knowledge City at the New Administrative Capital, welcomed. H.E. Dr. Naguib Mansour Hamid Al-Awj, Yemeni Minister of Communications and Information Technology, to discuss scientific cooperation in the fields of Communications and Information Technology. Both parties discussed ways to support and promote the admission of Yemeni students to the university to study ICT programs so that they head on the solid ground into the future.

This comes as part of the official visit of H.E., the Yemeni Minister of Communications and Information Technology, to Egypt to learn about the university’s capabilities of advanced technological infrastructure and research centers, as well as the four faculties, offering 16 specialized academic programs in the sciences of the future.

Prof. Reem Bahgat, President of Egypt University of Informatics, welcomed the Yemeni Minister of Communications and Information Technology, along with Prof. Mohamed El-Sharkawi, Vice-President of the University for Academic Affairs, Mr. Yasser Kazem, Secretary-General, Prof. Amr El-Masry, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Hoda Mokhtar, Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Information Sciences, Prof. Samaa Taher, Dean of the Faculty of Business Informatics and Prof. Ashraf Zaki, Dean of the Faculty of Digital Arts and Design.

Prof. Reem Bahgat emphasized the depth of the distinctive relations between Egypt and Yemen and the academic excellence of Yemeni students in Egyptian universities. She expressed EUI’s readiness for scientific cooperation with Yemen, represented by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and its scientific institutions, as the Egyptian state attaches great importance to strengthening and deepening cooperation with the countries across the region. Counting on the excellence of Yemeni students in sciences and achieving high ranks in their studies, Egypt University of Informatics will always welcome the admission of Yemeni community members in Egypt.

Prof. Reem Bahgat explained that this visit comes within the framework of the distinctive strategic relations established by Egypt University of Informatics with Arab people in the fields of Information Technology, Communications and Electronics, which is in line with the great interest paid by the political leadership and H.E.Dr.Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, to establish scientific partnerships with Arab countries in general and the Yemeni community in Egypt in particular.

For his part, H.E. Dr. Naguib Mansour Hamid Al-Awj, Yemeni Minister of Communications and Information Technology, paid tribute to EUI, its advanced and modern academic programs, and state-of-the-art facilities, positioning it as an advanced scientific and academic edifice.

The Yemeni Minister of Communications and Information Technology stressed his country’s interest in sending native students studying modern sciences at the faculties of Computing and Information sciences in Egypt and the importance of their studies at Egypt University of Informatics as a specialized university in the fields of Computer Science, Engineering, Business Informatics and Digital Arts. That is why Yemen is keen to take advantage of this experience by overcoming all obstacles for Yemenis to join this prestigious academic edifice.

Egypt University of Informatics is the first specialized university in the Middle East and Africa in Communications, Information Technology and their affected areas. It was founded by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to become a leading academic institution offering specialized educational programs to meet the need of the labour market with highly expertise ICT professionals.

 

Egypt University of Informatics has four faculties (Computing and Information Sciences, Engineering, Business Informatics, Digital Arts and Design), and 16 offers a specialized educational program to meet the labour market’s need from specialists in the latest fields of ICT, such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Engineering, Electronics Industry Communications Engineering, Business Analytics, Digital Marketing, Animation Arts, User Experience and Game Design.
