EUI Hosts High-Level Finnish Delegation
On the sidelines of the official visit of Finnish President Alexander Stubb to Cairo, the Egypt University of Informatics hosted a high-level meeting with Jarno Syrjälä and a distinguished delegation representing Finland’s leading technology companies and academic institutions.
The meeting focused on exploring a wide range of collaboration opportunities aimed at strengthening ties between Egypt and Finland in education, research, and innovation. Key areas of discussion included student and faculty exchange programs with Aalto University, joint research initiatives in artificial intelligence and digital innovation, and the development of collaborative academic programs.
Both sides also explored opportunities under Erasmus+, including co-supervision of postgraduate and PhD students, as well as the implementation of industry-driven education models that connect EUI students and researchers with Finland’s advanced innovation ecosystem.
The Finnish delegation featured prominent global technology leaders, including Nokia, Elisa Polystar, Solita, HMD Global, and KONE—highlighting the depth and ambition of this strategic partnership.
This engagement marks an important step toward fostering international collaboration, advancing digital transformation, and creating impactful opportunities for students, researchers, and industry stakeholders alike.
