Three Medals for EUI in the 12th All-Africa University Games

Egypt University of Informatics (EUI) is proud to announce that three of its students achieved remarkable results at the 12th All Africa University Games, bringing home a total of three medals and adding a new chapter to the university's growing record of success beyond the classroom.

The All Africa University Games bring together talented student athletes from universities across the continent to compete in a wide range of sports, promoting excellence, friendship, and sportsmanship. Competing at this level requires exceptional skill, discipline, and determination, qualities our EUI athletes demonstrated throughout the event.

Marwan Ahmed Allam, a Business Informatics student, won a silver medal in Modern Pentathlon. This demanding multi-discipline sport combines fencing, swimming, riding, and a combined running and shooting event, testing an athlete's endurance, versatility, and mental strength. Marwan's performance reflects his dedication and the many hours he has invested in mastering each discipline.

Youssef Badr, an Engineering student, secured a bronze medal in the Sabre fencing competition. Known for its speed, precision, and tactical thinking, sabre fencing demands sharp reflexes and quick decision-making. Youssef's achievement is a testament to his focus and perseverance against strong competition from across Africa.

Seif Mohamed, a Computing and Information Sciences student, earned a silver medal in Judo. A sport built on technique, balance, and respect, Judo challenges athletes both physically and mentally. Seif's medal highlights his commitment to training and his ability to perform under pressure on the continental stage.

These accomplishments are even more impressive given that all three students balance rigorous academic programs with intensive athletic training. Their success shows that academic excellence and sporting achievement can go hand in hand, and it sets an inspiring example for their fellow students.

EUI takes great pride in supporting its students in every aspect of their development, including sports, and encourages all members of the university community to pursue their passions with the same drive and determination.

Congratulations to Marwan, Youssef, and Seif for representing EUI with excellence and bringing pride and joy to the entire university community. We wish them continued success in their academic and athletic journeys.
