Faculty Members - Digital Interior Design
The Faculty of Digital Arts and Design invites applications for part-time positions at the rank of Professor, Associate Professor, or Ph.D. holder, as well as from industry experts, and for full-time positions at the rank of Assistant Lecturer or Teaching Assistant for the Digital Interior Design program.
We are seeking visionary educators and industry practitioners who bridge advanced digital workflows, technical precision, and theoretical depth. The ideal candidates will foster a rigorous studio culture that merges digital spatial prototyping with emerging interactive and fabrication technologies.

Core Teaching & Technical Competencies:
Candidates must demonstrate expertise and the ability to teach across one or more of the following integrated tracks:
1. Spatial Systems, BIM & Parametric Studios
Core Studios: Interior Design Studio
Computational Workflow: Advanced proficiency in parametric modeling and Visual Programming via Rhino + Grasshopper.
Building Information Modeling: Mastery of lifecycle project delivery and automation using Revit + Dynamo.
2. Digital Fabrication& Tectonics
Furniture Tectonics: Comprehensive knowledge of Furniture Technical Design & Details, focusing on materials, joints, execution drawings, and manufacturing standards.
CAD/CAM Prototyping: Solid proficiency in industrial modeling and subtractive manufacturing setups using SolidWorks, Autodesk Fusion 360, and Rhino CAM.
3. Immersive Environments, Rendering & Spatial Form
Design Foundations: Instruction in Spatial Form & Design Principles for digital interior spaces, focusing on composition, scale, and spatial aesthetics.
Real-Time Rendering & Interactive Media: Constructing interactive, immersive virtual experiences and VR environments utilizing Unreal Engine & Twinmotion, alongside fast-paced ideation via SketchUp & Enscape and high-fidelity rendering with V-Ray.
Material Authoring: Physically Based Rendering (PBR) texturing and advanced surface manipulation using Adobe Substance 3D (Painter / Designer).
4. Critical Theory & Emerging Tech
Theoretical Discourse: Leading seminars on contemporary history, Interior Design Styles, and Spatial Theories, fostering critical debates regarding human behavior, sustainability, and phenomenology.
AI Integration: Methodological deployment of generative AI as a collaborative medium within the creative process (AI as a design tool).
Appointment Framework & Qualifications:
Faculty Members (Ph.D. Tracks or Distinguished Industry Experts)
Qualifications:
A Ph.D. or terminal degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field from an accredited institution, OR
A distinguished professional background as an expert in the field with not less than 10 years of high-level industry practice and an outstanding portfolio of executed projects.
Expectations: Lead core digital interior design studios, maintain an elite creative practice, supervise graduate theses (Master's/Ph.D.), and spearhead curriculum development in advanced spatial tech.
Assisting Staff (TA / LA Tracks)
Qualifications: Master’s or bachelor's degree in a design discipline with an outstanding academic record.
Expectations: Provide high-level technical and pedagogical support within digital interior design studios, fabrication labs, and digital workshops; guide students through software implementation and technical execution drawings.
Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (commensurate with the candidate's specialized skill set and portfolio evaluation).
