Student Union Leaders Represent EUI at the National Leadership Forum

As part of EUI's commitment to empowering student leaders and enhancing their professional skills, Abdelrahman Khaled, EUI's Student Union President, along with Fouad Hasheesh, Vice President of the Student Union, represented the university at the Second National Forum for Student Union Leaders. The event, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in collaboration with the Leadership Development Institute, was held from April 27 to 30, 2025.

The forum brought together over 200 students—presidents and vice presidents of student unions—from public, private, national, and technological universities, as well as higher institutes, representing diverse geographic regions across Egypt. Abdelrahman and Fouad were part of the delegation representing national universities.

Participants engaged in more than 15 interactive workshops covering a wide range of topics, including effective leadership skills, planning and executing campus-wide events, media strategies and visual identity building, student-driven development initiatives, and performance evaluation. Students also took part in regional committees that conducted live simulations of strategic planning and institutional management.

Dr. Karim Hammam, Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education for Student Activities and Director of the Leadership Development Institute, highlighted that the forum reflected a strong spirit of student engagement and a collective will to drive positive change. He emphasized the institute’s vision of developing leaders equipped with critical thinking, innovation, and national pride.

The forum also offered students valuable exposure to best practices in innovation, entrepreneurship, AI applications, and digital skills, along with career development sessions geared toward preparing them for local and global job markets.

At the forum’s conclusion, participating students expressed their appreciation for the enriching experience, reaffirming their commitment to becoming ambassadors of change within their universities—driven by knowledge, awareness, and a sense of national responsibility.
