Gender Equality Plan (GEP) 2025–2028
Egypt University of Informatics (EUI) proudly presents its Gender Equality Plan (GEP) 2025–2028, a formally adopted institutional framework that reflects the university's long-term commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion, and institutional excellence.
Approved and endorsed by the University President and Board, the GEP establishes a comprehensive and structured approach to promoting equal opportunities, eliminating discrimination, and embedding gender equality principles across all academic and administrative practices. The plan applies to academic and non-academic staff, leadership, decision-making bodies, recruitment and promotion committees, and—where relevant—students. It sets clear governance mechanisms, accountability structures, measurable targets, and annual monitoring procedures to ensure continuous progress.
Key focus areas include:
- Equal pay for equal work.
- Transparent, merit-based recruitment and promotion
- Gender-balanced leadership representation
- Work-life balance and inclusive workplace culture
- Prevention of sexual harassment and gender-based violence
- Integration of gender perspectives in research and teaching
- Mandatory training and institutional awareness
Through measurable KPIs, annual reporting, and dedicated institutional resources, EUI ensures that gender equality is not only a policy commitment but an operational reality aligned with international standards and Horizon Europe requirements.
