H.E.Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, affirmed that launching the Digitopia competition is part of the ministry’s efforts to support digital creativity and foster a culture of innovation among school and university students and graduates. It provides a platform offering promising opportunities for creative individuals to unleash their ideas, refine their skills, and gain practical experience to transform their concepts into implementable technological solutions that contribute to building a Digital Egypt.
He added that digital creativity is a key pillar of the knowledge economy, and the ministry is committed to enhancing the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem by expanding the Digital Egypt Creativity Centers (Creativa) across various governorates. These centers offer a range of programs to support digital creativity at all stages.
Dr. Talaat also emphasized that the competition targets diverse age groups as part of a comprehensive vision to identify talent at an early stage, alongside broader efforts to nurture and support creative youth. This contributes to preparing a generation capable of innovation and effective participation in the digital transformation journey.
The grand prize is EGP 1 million, with total prizes worth EGP 10 million, including both financial and in-kind rewards. Additionally, participants will have access to specialized training opportunities in collaboration with local and international tech companies to help advance their career paths.
