EUI Signs Cooperation Agreement with BARQ Systems for Scholarships and Training

Egypt University of Informatics (EUI) has signed a mutual cooperation agreement with BARQ Systems to fund scholarships for outstanding students enrolled in the faculties of Engineering, Business Informatics, Computing and Information Sciences, and Digital Arts and Design. This initiative aims to enhance the scientific capabilities of top-performing students and equip them with the necessary skills for the job market.

The scholarships provided by EUI are fully funded for top high school graduates of legitimate certifcates, allowing them to study in one of the 16 specialized programs in the fields of communications, information technology, and data science. This presents a strong opportunity to study at one of the top specialized universities in Egypt, the Middle East, and Africa.

The agreement between EUI and BARQ Systems targets the funding of a specific number of scholarships, covering the tuition fees. Additionally, it includes training EUIans within the company, as part of a strategy to empower leading and outstanding young talents, ensuring their integration into vital jobs post-graduation. This aligns with Egypt's Vision 2030 for sustainable development, which places great emphasis on investing in human capital. Moreover, the students will be trained on the latest technologies governing the communications, information technology, and data science sectors, and their related fields.

The signage was attended by Prof. Reem Bahgat, EUI’s President, and  Mr. Ahmed Salama, Sales Manager for the Public and Education Sector at BARQ Systems, along with a number of representatives from both sides.

Prof. Bahgat praised the signing of this agreement, highlighting the importance of such partnerships between the university as a leading educational institution and BARQ Systems, one of the foremost companies in the technology, cybersecurity solutions, and data and information infrastructure sectors. This collaboration contributes to the concerted efforts to benefit the educational system, elevate future generations, and provide the future with cadres capable of handling its advancements and modernities.

She also confirmed that the scholarships provided by BARQ Systems make the company a silver sponsor for the university. These agreements align with EUI’s commitment and vision to collaborate with leading organizations to enhance efforts aimed at elevating the university's graduates to the highest levels according to global standards.

Mr. Ahmed Salama, Sales Manager for the Public and Education Sector at BARQ Systems, stated, "We believe that education unleashes potential and contributes to empowering young people to achieve success. Therefore, funding EUIans is part of our policies to support the next generation of information and communications technology professionals."

He added, "This aligns with our commitment to contributing to the goal of sustainable development by supporting quality education and providing students with the training and opportunities necessary to succeed in the dynamic field of information and communications technology."

It is noteworthy that EUI is one of the first specialized universities in the Middle East and Africa in the fields of communications, information technology, and their related fields. It was established by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, to become a leading academic institution offering specialized educational programs to meet the labor market's need for specialists in the latest fields of information technology and communications. The university is located in the Knowledge City in the New Administrative Capital.

EUI comprises four faculties: Computing and Information Sciences, Engineering, Business Informatics, and Digital Arts and Design. It offers 16 specialized educational programs to meet the labor market's need for specialists in the latest fields of information technology and communications, such as artificial intelligence, data science and engineering, electronics and communications engineering, mechatronics engineering, business analytics, digital marketing, animation arts, user experience, and game design.
