Game Design Graduation Projects Showcase
The Faculty of Digital Arts and Design at the Egyptian University of Informatics (EUI) recently hosted its Game Design Final Showcase, bringing together students, faculty members, and distinguished guests from the creative industries and academia to celebrate the achievements of the next generation of game designers.
The event was honored by the presence of His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Hanno, Former Minister of Culture, who served as a distinguished jury member alongside a panel of highly esteemed experts from both industry and academia. The judging committee evaluated a diverse range of original game projects developed by students as part of their final academic work.
During the showcase, students presented fully playable games that demonstrated exceptional creativity, technical proficiency, storytelling capabilities, visual design excellence, and presentation skills. The projects reflected the students’ ability to transform innovative ideas into engaging interactive experiences while addressing industry standards and user expectations.
Each game represented months of dedicated effort, research, and development under the guidance and mentorship of Dr. Ashraf Mahdy, Game Design Program Director. The showcased projects highlighted the interdisciplinary nature of game design, combining artistic creativity, technology, and user-centered design principles.
The event provided students with a valuable opportunity to present their work before leading professionals and receive constructive feedback from experts with extensive experience in the cultural, creative, and digital sectors.
The Game Design Final Showcase concluded with strong praise from the jury members, who commended the students for their professionalism, innovation, and readiness to contribute to the rapidly growing digital arts and gaming industries. The showcase served as a testament to EUI’s commitment to nurturing creative talent and preparing graduates to excel in competitive local and international markets.
