Biography
Dr. Athar holds a PhD degree in economics from the German University in Cairo. Dr. Athar is also an adjunct faculty member at the German University in Cairo. Moreover, she is a research fellow at the EU-Mediterranean and African Network for Economic Studies (EMANES). Her current research focuses on exchange rate pass-through, inflation, monetary policy and the role of monetary institutional quality in MENA region and emerging economies.
